Reliable, tough, and fun product!

My daughter loves the Nintendo DS-she plays Pokemon games on it nearly every day. Unlike most kids, her neurologist recommends she plays hand held games to strengthen her fingers. I have seen increased dexterity in her handwriting since she began playing with the Nintendo DS. She is a lucky kid because she's one of the few who has doctor-recommended playtime.
I find the Nintendo DS to be a reliable, kid-tough product. It's bonus is that it's portable and can be taken on vacation...
Almost...not perfect yet.

Review :
The Nintendo DS came real close to becoming the ultimate handheld. The DS is targeted for children to teens. Some games are fun even for adults but there are only a few. Graphically the games are good, especially the sprites based games. For the polygon graphics, it looks the PS1 (maybe better due to the small screen size). Besides the graphics limitation the DS does just about everything right to make a fun system. There are enough "bells and whistles" for developer to take advantage of to...

Great Portable Game System - Highly Recommended!

Review :
The "Nintendo DS" game system is a fantastic portable gaming platform. We have one for each member of our family (son 12, daughter 16, wife 47, me 44). Due to the wide selection of games for the system, there are always a few that are of interest to each of use. One of the best features is the ability to connect to each other's games and play multiplayer games (we really like The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Animal Crossing: Wild World). The battery life is...

What a wonderful Christmas present for all ages. There are so many games to choose from and it is small enough to carry in pocket and purse. The battery life is quite long if you follow directions on how to help save. So give someone a gift they will enjoy for a long time. Find out who else you know has one and you can trade off games....
